Calculus guides
Calculus has two core operations: differentiation, which finds instantaneous rates of change, and integration, which reverses that process and measures accumulation.
- How to Find a Derivative
To differentiate a polynomial, apply the power rule to each term: the derivative of xⁿ is n xⁿ⁻¹. Constants differentiate to 0.
- How to Integrate a Polynomial
The indefinite integral of xⁿ (n ≠ −1) is xⁿ⁺¹ / (n+1) plus a constant C.
