Who we are

MathSolver AI is an educational website that helps students, parents, and teachers solve math problems and understand the method. The site is operated at https://www.mathsolverai.app. For privacy questions or deletion requests, email hello@mathsolverai.app.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the solver and improve the site:

• Problem text you submit. Typed or pasted equations are processed so we can return a solution and explanation.
• Images you upload. Photos of worksheets or handwritten problems are validated and, if an OCR provider is configured, sent to that provider to read the text. We do not sell student work.
• Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you send.
• Optional accounts. If you create an account, we store the details needed to sign you in and any problems you choose to save.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider may record IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to keep the service secure and reliable.
• Cookies and similar technologies. Used for essential site functions and, when advertising is enabled, for Google ads as described below.

How we use information

We use this information to compute and explain math solutions, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, measure whether pages work, and — when Google AdSense is active — to fund the free educational content with advertising. We do not sell personal information or student work to data brokers.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some are essential (for example, remembering a cookie preference). Others help us understand traffic or allow advertising partners to serve and measure ads. You can accept all cookies or keep essential cookies only through the banner on this site, and you can change that choice later on the Cookie Policy page.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

This site uses Google AdSense, or may do so, to display advertisements that help keep MathSolver AI free to use. In line with Google AdSense required content:

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

Third-party services

Depending on configuration, we may use hosting, analytics, OCR, and language-model providers. Those companies process data only to provide their service to us. Google may process advertising identifiers and cookie data as described in its own policies. We do not control how every advertiser in Google's network uses data once an ad is requested.

Children

MathSolver AI is an educational resource that families and schools may use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for accounts or marketing. The solver can be used without creating an account. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email hello@mathsolverai.app and we will delete it.

How long we keep information

Problem submissions that are not saved to an account are processed to return a result and are not kept as a student portfolio. Contact emails are kept long enough to respond. Account data stays until you ask us to delete it. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations.

Your choices and requests

You can use the site without an account. You can limit advertising cookies through the cookie banner, your browser settings, and the opt-out links above. To request access or deletion of information we hold about you, email hello@mathsolverai.app. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you.

International visitors

The site is intended primarily for English-speaking students. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or wherever our hosting and advertising partners operate. Where law requires consent for advertising cookies, use the cookie banner to make that choice.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, including when advertising or new processors are added. The date at the top of the page is the latest revision.
